Blueberry  Sauce

Blueberry Sauce

Makes 1 cup

 

  • 1/2 bag frozen blueberries (about 6 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

 

In a large saucepan over medium heat bring frozen blueberries and sugar to simmer.

Simmer for one minute stirring often.  Add water, lemon juice, lemon zest and cornstarch in a small bowl until cornstarch dissolves.  Add to blueberries until thickened.
