Flavored Salts

 

Instead of adding regular salt to your recipes, why not try some of these three flavored salts?

These flavored salts are great on top of your fries and burgers, fish, potato salad, as well as in your salad dressings and grilled vegetables. Just use them in place of regular salt.

Flavored Salts

 

Fresh Lime Salt

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons lime zest

 

In a small bowl combine kosher salt and lime zest,  rub the salt and zest between your fingers for a few minutes.  Transfer to a tray, spread and leave it overnight.  In the morning it will be dried.  Transfer to an airtight jar.

 

Chili Chipotle Salt

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon Chipotle chili ground

 

In a small bowl, combine kosher salt and chili chipotle.  Transfer to an airtight jar.

 

White Pepper & Chives Salt

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 1 tablespoon white peppercorns, crushed

 

In a small bowl, combine kosher salt, dried chives and white peppercorns.  Transfer to an airtight jar.
